Life has shown me that staying silent comes at the cost of increasing self-doubt. The longer you remain silent, the more your self-doubt grows, and the more you let those doubts simmer, the louder they become, to the point where recognising your own truth becomes a challenge.

It is easy to opt for silence outwardly while inside, your truth yearns to be heard. “Stand your ground and don’t let others disrespect your boundaries,” they say. Yet, I often observe and ponder how many truly understand the depth of those words.

Standing your ground is challenging, but it becomes more manageable with practice. It’s like choosing between fast food and a nutritious meal. What do you gain by opting for convenience over quality? Is the cost to your well-being worth it in the long run?

Now, I live by the principle that as long as I stay true to my core values of integrity and respect towards myself and others, I can sleep peacefully, free from lingering doubts. Understanding my truth means I’m not troubled by being misunderstood by others, eliminating the need for external validation or letting others’ opinions shake my confidence.
